The Boyfriend has a knack for guilt-trips. Standing near the bus-stop, I tried to tear myself away, already late for something on the other side of town plus a mile or so.

"Let me goooo..." I wailed, attempting to extricate myself from his clutch.

"Set me freeee...!" he crooned back, not letting me go.

"I'm serious!"

"Oh, so you're leaving me, are you? The least you can do..." I groaned, knowing what was coming. It had been said many times already, "...is to stay a bit longer. After all, you'll be leaving in a few days."

His eyebrows did that meaningful thing.

"Leaving me, all on my own over Easter! There's not even any point in buying you an Easter Egg; it'd be a pointless investment!" He paused for breath, gearing up for the final touch, puppy dog eyes looking up from beneath long lashes. He still wasn't letting go.

"And where will you be on the day when we've been seeing each other for two years? Still away! I'll wake up all lonely, and say to myself, 'happy two year anniversary, me', as YOU WON'T BE THERE to say it to me!"

He's got me this time. I feel guilty.
