When Mami goes out to work, leaving "us kids" behind, still in bed, she leaves a note. The typical note goes something like:

Hello All,

There's cous cous in the fridge. Be careful with fridge door - still a bit wobbly. There's money on the table just in case you eat all the food in the fridge. Please DO NOT open the door to ANYONE. Have your mobiles with you at all times. Take a key with you if you go out, and don't forget to text me. Will be back in two hours. Love you, xoxox

Today, an addition which amused me greatly:

...and please BE CAREFUL. See paper - "crime"...

Next to today's note lay the Guardian, open at a page with the sub-heading of "crime", as a sort of warning. Could this be taking worrying to far? This criminal happening took place in Wales!

When I have children, I won't worry as much. Then again, Mami said the same thing to her mother when she was my age...
