Falling Apart
The house is slowly, bit by bit, falling apart.
A few days ago, the door of the fridge fell off. This morning, the handle lost the will to cling on. Food is almost inaccessible, and without the clever manouvering technique (prise, slam, lift, kick) we would all starve.
The green kitchen cupboards, which have been around since the beginning of time (or the year dot, if you prefer) have a tendancy of collapsing in on themselves with a frightening crumbling sound. They are barely clinging together with the help of brown sticky sellotape.
The shower does not switch off. The only way to remedy the Chinese water torture dripping is by carefully placing the shower head upside-down and willing the water to defy the laws of gravity.
The logical solution is to pay a visit to the squeaky clean Swedish maze, otherwise known as Ikea. *loses will*
