Kissing the box
I love my parents for ever and ever and ever. And a day.
They have only bought me the Black Books box set. All three series.
I am kissing the black box as I type.
I was, however, fairly disconcerted, when I opened the box, to find a mini-ramble about Ishmael finding a magic fleece in the golden ring. And 'breakfast and nudity between Dex, Taffy and Munkle, their trusty chimney sweep/computer genius/psychic.' I thought I'd been bought the wrong thing, a sort of Lord of the Rings version of Black Books.
But then I realised it was signed off by Dylan Moran, so I nodded wisely and understood. It is simply his genius imagination running away with him. Slightly.
My parents, as they handed over the box-set, wrapped unceremoniously in a transparent Fopp bag, mumbled something about not knowing whether I was 'still into all that'.
Ahem. You can never not be into Black Books.
