Trip to London
In which Kiwi goes to London to meet up with Aidan and Elisabeth.
They were almost exactly as I had imagined them, only Elisabeth a bit smaller. We drank coffee and giggled. We gave each other presents and unwrapped excitedly. We found a noodle bar -
"Excuse me, could you tell me where the noodle bar is?"
"Elisabeth - look, it's right infront of you. You don't need to ask people!!"
"Shhhh!"
No noodles on the menu, but nevertheless nice. Aidan didn't know what his mushrooms were. We talked about Norway having no squirrels. About the Globe and Shakespeare. About being crazy and Norwegian chocolate.
We hid under the Bossy umbrella from the rain. We stepped through, into and over giant puddles, and waited for cash machines to work. We sung the Willy Wonka song, and pulled faces. We took photos and laughed at the outcome. We attempted to roll our eyes in opposite directions (but mainly failed).
"Look how my hands are shaking!"
"In Norway, we don't have trees. We have concrete pillars. We paint them green to make them more realistic. We call these pillars "trees". Occassionally we have wire, and the leaves are made from plastic. Trees with leaves all year round..."
"I'd like the Queen to die just to see what happens."
"I have a teapot! I am a complete person now!"
"Today has been the BEST day of my England trip."
"Can I have the first impression?"
I am directing you to Aidan's Flickr set, where you can see the photos he took on his amazingly complicated camera.
